Information for Parents
Every Parent Matters -
Parenting young people is challenging at the best of times. If we
then add involvement in criminal activity, poor choice of
friendship networks, anti-social behaviour and substance use into
the mix, the task can become overwhelming.
There is strong evidence that supporting the carers of young
people on court orders greatly improves the outcomes for young
people. Leeds YOS are able to provide a variety of services to you
and your family or refer you on to other agencies for specialist
support.

We feel that it is really
important for you as a parent to have access to appropriate
support. Your Youth Offending Team Worker will be available to
explain what's available and help you decide what best suits your
needs.
All services accessed via the YOS are family-friendly and do not
seek to judge or blame parents in any way.
